Oklahoma State pitcher Ethan Lund, who was selected to be a part of USA Baseball’s 2026 Collegiate National Team Training Camp for the next week, had a stellar performance in relief on Saturday evening.

Playing for the CNT Stripes, Lund came out of the pen against the Burlington Sock Puppets, a team out of Appalachian Summer League, and gave two scoreless innings with four strikeouts.

Lund is coming off a solid sophomore season for the Pokes; one he can hopefully build upon going into his junior campaign. Across 17 games this past spring, Lund started 16 games and had a 5-3 record. In 84 innings, he had 137 strikeouts to 53 walks, gave up 11 home runs and 12 doubles with a .212 opponent batting average and a 5.34 ERA.

The Sock Puppets features a couple of other Cowboys, including Deacon Pomeroy, who is playing really well from the plate. Through 15 games, Pomeroy is hitting .313 with four home runs, including two grand slams. Through 64 at-bats, he has 20 strikeouts and 10 walks with 20 hits and a team-high 23 RBIs.

Pitcher Kyle Pearcy is also on the team, but he doesn’t show any stats on the Appalachian League website. The team is coached by former Oklahoma State legend Mickey Tettelton.
