The second seeded Oklahoma State Cowgirl softball team rolled into the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament following a 7-0 win over Utah.

With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 38-14 overall on the season and will face the winner of Arizona-Arizona State on Friday night.

Pitcher Ruby Meylan was dominant in the circle as she threw her eighth shutout and 20th complete game of the season. She recorded her fourth one-hit game of the season as the Utes’ lone hit came in the top of the seventh inning.

Karli Godwin and Rosie Davis each went 2-for-4 from the plate tonight, with Godwin recorded one home run and two RBIs and Davis one RBI.

Madison Hoffman also had a great night from the plate as she went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The bulk of the Pokes’ runs came in the bottom half of the fifth inning, starting with a single from Davis up the middle to score freshman Jayelle Austin from second. Amanda Hasler’s lone hit of the game was a good one as she ripped a triple down the left field line to score Libby Jaques, Davis and Kaya Booker. Hoffman finished the inning with a single up the middle to score Hasler from second to make it 5-0.

Godwin put a bow on the game in the bottom of the sixth inning as she blasted a two-run homer to make it 7-0.
