Lexi Kilfoyl Headlines Former Cowgirls and Oklahoma State Connections to AUSL Season
STILLWATER - It is well known that the Big 12 is a strong softball conference and that Oklahoma State and head coach Kenny Gajewski have built a powerhouse program. That can be measured or stated a lot of ways, but one of them now in the sport of softball is how well you represent on the professional stage.
Lexi Kilfoyl is as good as it gets at the professional level as she start another season with the Chicago Bandits of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League. Kilfoyl, after earning Pitcher of the Year in the Big 12 in 2024 and also being named a first-team All American, was the first overall pick in the 2025 AUSL Draft. Later in June last season, she earned the first pitching win in AUSL history in a win over the Utah Talons.
Ironically, her former Oklahoma State teammate Rachel Becker plays for the Talons.
According to Oklahoma State Athletics, Kilfoyl is currently on the inactive list for Utah as Chicago opens up against the Talons on the road and will be televised on ESPN2.
All-American pitcher Ruby Meylan has been named to the Oklahoma City Spark reserve roster. This group is used to fill in for players that go overseas or play other opportunities during the 25 game season. Meylan was also this season’s Big 12 Pitcher of the Year.
Former star pitcher Sam Show is currently a part of the reserve pool.
Former Oklahoma State pitcher and All-American and All-Big 12 performer Kelly Maxwell, who finished her career at the University of Oklahoma, is also in the league as a pitcher with the Portland Cascade. The Cascade open up on the road against the Carolina Blaze.
