Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Former Ole Miss Pitcher Payton Kennedy
STILLWATER – Kenny Gajewski and Co. have added another pitcher out of the transfer portal as former Ole Miss righty Payton Kennedy has committed to Oklahoma State.
Kennedy is a 5-11 pitcher/utility player out of Santa Margarita Catholic and San Clemente, CA, and is coming off her freshman season with Ole Miss. In three games this past spring, Kennedy went 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA with two strikeouts and six walks in seven innings.
Coming out of high school, Kennedy was ranked as the No. 25 overall prospect in the Extra Inning Softball’s Extra Elite 100 as she was a two-time California State Player of the Year and All-State honoree.
She played her club softball for Arizona Storm National Mathis, where she helped them to a fifth-place finish at nationals in 2024 and was named a PGF All-American in 2025.
Kennedy joins former Mississippi State pitcher Delainey Everett as the other full-time pitcher to commit to the Cowgirls out of the transfer portal this cycle.
