STILLWATER – One of the best to ever lace ‘em up for Oklahoma State softball is set to the don the Red, White and Blue as pitcher Lexi Kilfoyl has earned a spot on Team USA’s Women’s National Team.
No. 1 Team USA is part of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Cup Group C, which is set to compete September 12-16 in Oklahoma City. The group also features No. 6 Netherlands, No. 7 Mexico, No. 8 China, No. 23 New Zealand and No. 36 South Africa.
Team USA will face Mexico on Sept. 12, South Africa and Netherlands Sept. 13, New Zealand Sept. 14 and China Sept 15, with the playoff round beginning Sept. 16.
Kilfoyl helped Team USA win the 2019 WBSC U-19 World Cup, going 2-0 with eight strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA in just over seven innings pitched. She was also a 2025 World Games alternate and threw in the 2024 Japan All-Star Series. So, this is a big step up from being a World Games alternate last year.
During her two seasons in Stillwater, Kilfoyl was one of the best pitchers in the country as she was an NFCA First Team All-American, NFCA First Team All-Region, the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, the USA Softball Collegiate Pitcher of the Year finalist and helped the Pokes back to Oklahoma City.
In her first season in Stillwater, she was NFCA First Team All-Regional, as well as a Third Team All-American.
