It's Official! OSU QB Commit Carson White Now at FB Hightower and OSU Decision Cemented
STILLWATER – Texas Football is usually in the know on all these things in Texas high school football and after a month of questioning some of the rumors and talk of Oklahoma State football quarterback commitment in the 2027 class Carson White moving from Iowa Colony High School to Class 6A contender Fort Bend Hightower, it is confirmed. White will quarterback the Hurricanes this season. Then on the Fourth of July, White had a message that Cowboy faithful will find patriotic to the orange and black. He put an exclamation point in his commitment.
The recruiting calendar has changed and with the advent of the NIL/revenue sharing era, nothing is really done until not only a NLI (national letter of intent) is signed in December, but also a contract is inked with details on the monetary portion of the deal. Not sure exactly what happened to promote this post on Twitter/X by White, but it sure is perceived as a good sign. Oklahoma State had been evaluating and recruiting other quarterbacks. My guess is that will likely end.
Eric Morris and his staff, including OC/quarterback coach Sean brophy now have total confirmation on a four-star caliber quarterback. I know what the recruiting sites say, but White’s physical attributes and proof in performance add up to four-stars in our book and that’s not looking through orange colored glasses. He was responsible for 47 touchdowns as a junior in leading his team to the Class 5A-II quarterfinals and an All-State season, District 9-5A-II Offensive MVP as a sophomore with the only losses coming to State champion Richmond Randle and national super recruit running back Landon Williams-Callis. He was District 12-4A-I Newcomer of the Year starting most of the season as a freshman.
The 6-0, 207 pound dual threat offensive dynamo is listed by Texas Football as their third-team Whataburger Super Team quarterback.
The transfer is pretty simple and an easy explanation to the UIL in Texas. White’s father, Carnell, took the offensive coordinator job at Hightower joining Hightower head coach Cornelius Anthony. Carnell White was previously the running backs coach at Iowa Colony.
White, who started for Iowa Colony part-time as a freshman and primarily during his sophmore and junior seasons led the Pioneers to the Region 3-5A Division 2 championship game the past two campaigns.
Last season Fort Bend Hightower finished 7-4, 5-2 in district play and they return 15 starters, seven on offense, including four starting offensive linemen.
White is a dual-threat quarterback with good size, a strong arm strengthened on the baseball diamond where he is a standout. His running ability is what makes him an almost automatic base stealer on the diamond.
At Iowa Colony, White accounted for 123 total touchdowns: 79 passing, 44 rushing.
Last season, he completed 114 of 181 passes (62.98 percent) for 1,963 yards and 32 touchdowns, while averaging 10.8 yards per pass attempt. He also rushed 115 times for 659 yards and 15 touchdowns, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.
In his first full season as a starter, White, as a sophomore, completed 126 of 226 passes for 1,871 yards and 30 touchdowns, while running 128 times for 832 yards and 18 touchdowns.
As a freshman, a young White completed 102 of 181 passes for 1,611 yards and 17 touchdowns while rushing for 559 yards and 11 touchdowns.
White committed to Oklahoma State on April 4 and then took an early official visit on the spring game weekend. Now, Cowboy fans can celebrate seeing him play at the Class 6A level in Texas and that he has made it clear he is done with recruiting and heading to Stillwater.
