The old saying in football is that defense wins championships. In Oklahoma State’s case in the early 2000s defense was used to help bring Cowboy football back to relevance and respectability on a national level.

One of the key players on the defensive side of the ball under then coach Les Miles was cornerback Robert Jones.

Jones was a two-year starter from 2003-2004 after an accomplished junior college career at NEO A&M.
