STILLWATER – Oklahoma State running back Caleb Hawkins is believed to be one of the best backs in the country heading into the 2026 season as he was tabbed a Walter Camp Preseason All-American on Tuesday.

Hawkins transferred and followed Eric Morris and his staff to Oklahoma State from North Texas following his freshman season with the Mean Green last year. After his rookie campaign, Hawkins was named a Walter Camp Second Team All-American and was the American Conference Rookie of the Year and First Team All-American Conference selection.

He finished the season with 231 carries across 13 games for 1,434 yards and 25 touchdowns, an average of 6.2 yards per carry and 110.3 yards per game.

He also had 32 receptions for 370 yards and four touchdowns.

Hawkins played his high school ball at North Rock Creek HS in Shawnee, OK and grew up coming to Oklahoma State games. He will also be one of four OSU players who will be in Frisco, TX for Big 12 Media Days.
