Viktor Hovland Beats Scottie Scheffler In Playoff to Win Travelers Championship
Viktor Hovland is a PGA champion again. On Monday, Hovland outlasted No. 1 Scottie Scheffler to win the Travelers Championship in a playoff hole at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.
Hovland sank a six-foot birdie on the first playoff hole to win.
It marked Hovland’s eighth PGA Tour win, which includes winning the 2023 TOUR Championship and the 2025 Valspar Championship. I
Hovland and Scheffler finished Sunday tied at 21-under, with the final round on Sunday being suspended due to darkness following an hour and a half thunderstorm.
Fellow Cowboy Wyndham Clark finished tied for fifth at 18-under, while Rickie Fowler tied for 38th, Alex Noren tied for 55th and Sam Stevens tied for 62nd.
The next event is this coming weekend, the John Deer Classic at TPC Deer Run in Silvis, IL.
