Watch: Jacie Hoyt, Audi Crooks and Liv McGill Talk Summer Offseason
STILLWATER – Jacie Hoyt has had arguably the most impressive offseason in Oklahoma State Cowgirl basketball history, as well as one of the most impressive offseasons across all of college basketball the past few months.
Hoyt has brought in the top transfer portal class, including the No. 1 and No. 2 transfers in Audi Crooks and Liv McGill.
The trio of Hoyt, Crooks and McGill met with the media on Monday afternoon to discuss the past few months and the first three weeks of summer offseason workouts.
“So, we are currently starting week three as a team,” said coach Hoyt. “The first two weeks I've been really, really impressed with the way that this group has been able to connect as quickly as they have. I love the leadership of this group; I think that's probably been the thing that's stood out as being the most impressive to me. And no surprises for me, they work They work their tails off and you can see the competitive spirit that they have in everything that they do. I would describe the atmosphere of our workouts whenever we're competing as honestly a March atmosphere. I mean, the intensity, the urgency that they have to win already has been something that has been really neat to be a part of and to watch, which like I said, I'm not really surprised by that because I know that that's why everyone came here because they wanted to be a part of a collective group who all was totally bought into winning and putting team first in order for that to happen. But it's been more fun than I thought that it would be. So, I'm having a blast right now.”
