Supposedly he had interest back in 2016 when the job was open and he was one of top two candidates, but OSU raised his salary and found funding to build a new stadium. The South Carolina job was open mid season when Mainieri was let go and Monte Lee was interim. Coastal Carolina HC Kevin Schnall, West Virginia HC Steve Sabin, and OState HC Josh Holliday have been listed as top three candidates. Schnall interviewed on 6/4/26 for the position. Apparently the external consultants search committee is on hold now to interview Sabin after CWS is over. I wonder if they have interviewed Josh Holliday or if he has interest? Dan Fitzgerald with KU has been rumored as another possible candidate.

Apparently the salary could be in the 1.5 million to 2 million dollar range and Josh's name has been positively emphasized due to his history of consecutive Regional selections and family history with Tom Holliday coach history at NC State.

Most of this has become public just in the past three days and I doubt that Josh's name would have been publicized without having some legitimate information rather than message board fodder!
