STILLWATER – Josh Holliday and Co. have added a second commitment out of the transfer portal in Morehead State infielder, Aubrey Kearns.

Kearns, a 5-11, 200-pound soon-to-be junior out of Nicholasville, KY., has had two really strong seasons for the Eagles. This past season as a sophomore, the middle infielder was First Team All-OVC after leading the team with a .387 batting average, good for third in the conference, with 84 hits.

Depending on which Cowboy returns for 2026, Kearns’ 1.093 OPS would be tops of any returner. Brock Thompson had an OPS of .951 and Campbell Smithwich finished the season at .922.

He hit 12 home runs on the season with a team-high 59 RBIs with a slash line of .387/.622/.471 with a 1.093 OPS.

He hit .240 with six home runs and 23 RBIs as a freshman in 2025.

As a senior in high school at West Jessamine, Kearns hit .423 with 47 hits and 45 runs scored and comes from a baseball family as his dad is former MLB player, Austin Kearns.

Kearns joins former Utah pitcher, Kaden Soder, who posted a 4.84 ERA with 28 strikeouts as a junior this past season.
